Lin is a Chinese artist who uses a variety of media, including painting, photography and video. She graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), the most well-knowned Art School in China, majoring in Painting & Media Arts. Her interactive and sensory environments focuses on the great changes experienced by Chinese women today, private space is opened to the public. Her Digital Media Installation work named< reading mistake>, won the Award of the Best Creative Art Works, 2007 Graduation Art Exhibition, CAFA School of Design.
Started painting when she was 4 years old, winning her first award when she was 8. This was followed by many others, including the Prize of Gold, 1st International Children Painting Competition, London, UK, sponsored by Bloomsbury College, on 1993 when she was 11 years old. Since 12 years old, she has been an apprentice of Professor Di'an Fan, former Vice President of CAFA, and now the President of China National Gallery.
Since 2008, she has been taking advantage of the interdisciplinary environment of RISD’s Digital Media department (Rhode Island School of Design), creating new works within the context of interactivity contemporary everyday existence.
